Discover more about green social prescribing in North Somerset by joining clinical psychologist Dr Alice Walker, to explore the science behind nature connection. Community Development Coordinator for Curo, Steve Winter-Gray will be joining the panel alongside artist and green social prescribing practitioner Sam Francis who develops participatory projects on allotments and green spaces around Weston and Anna Southwell, owner of Loves café and founder of the Super-mares sea swimming group.

Community Allotment Open Day & Cook-up

Embark on a sensory tour of Osprey’s community allotment site with its vegetable and cottage gardens, poly tunnels, and orchards in full bloom, and sample some delicious homegrown produce cooked up by Weston’s Loves Cafe and pick up artist designed recipe cards. Also on offer are a host of creative activities using natural materials found on the allotment including willow weaving, plant print-making, poetry creation and make-your-own herbal tea-bags.  Produced by Grow Feral.
